Alan is an author whose writing has been shortlisted in the Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition, long-listed in the National Poetry Competition, commended in the Yeovil Literary Prize and recognised by several other small prizes.
Between January and March 2018 he was writer in residence at Hastings Library for East Sussex County Council.
