Suffolk libraries - focussing on young people
Following the introduction from Arts Council England about their NPO programme, Suffolk libraries share their plans
Krystal is Libraries Innovation and Development Manager at Suffolk Libraries. She started her professional life as a school librarian and literacy coordinator where she did some really exciting things for and with children and young people. Library services for this age group are her true passion and she gets excited about developing programmes and activity which spark the imagination. After that she moved into local government where she learnt some new skills around commissioning services for vulnerable children and families, which was hugely rewarding. She came back into libraries about 5 years ago and brought together all of her experience into what she describes as 'the best job in the best library service in the world'. On a more personal level she's a military history buff, plays the euphonium, and loves to (badly) ride her bike.
