Brent Culture Celebrating Windrush 70
Zerritha Brown, Artistic Director of the Windrush 70 programme, writes about work done by Brent libraries to mark the 70th anniversary
Zerritha Brown is the Cultural Operations Manager at The Library at Willesden Green and the Artistic Director of the Windrush 70 programme. She has over 16 years’ experience in the arts and culture sector including work on Arts Council England’s Creative Partnerships programme and delivering the programme for the 2012 Olympics in the London Borough of Brent. More recently she was the lead officer in Brent for the successful London Borough of Culture bid. She is a passionate advocate for the power of arts and culture to engage and inspire communities and in the role of libraries as creative spaces.

The DCMS Libraries team supports ministers, as they oversee and promote the improvement of local government's provision of public library services in England.
